Advance Model of Electric Arc Furnace
Advance Model of Electric Arc Furnace

EAF’s advanced simulator was designed to be used in teaching, operator training, and research. The user must select the operating parameters ranging from scrap selection to tapping time. Once the different operating parameters have been selected, the run is executed, obtaining as output values the chemical composition of the liquid steel, the slag, temperatures, volumes, and pressures throughout the operation time. This allows the analysis of a number of scenarios or changes in the conditions of the processes, raw materials, or equipment used, and a subsequent evaluation of different operating strategies as well as the effects on productivity, energy, and resource consumption.
