Description

When you need to improve the mechanical properties of a plain steel you must think about using alloy steels. This type of steels incorporate different components, the most common are chromium, nickel, molybdenum, vanadium, tungsten, etc.
A combination of that alloy give to steel improved mechanical properties. In this module the definition of Alloy Steel will be presented. A list of steel applications will be discovered through a matching game.
In the following section, the mechanical properties that are improved will be described. And finally, the most hardened alloy steels will be selected from a list to learn their properties.

What you will learn

- Describe an introduction to Alloy Steels;
- Give a general definition of Alloy Steels.
