Description

Springs are designed and manufactured in the most economic way possible. There are a variety of spring types from coil springs to leaf springs. They are made in many sizes and with a wide range of strength levels. Their uses are almost infinite but vary from low stressed (commercial) to extremely high stressed (specialised). In this module the requirement, different manufactured method and kind of springs will be introduced. Then, the Cold formed spring types and Steel composition will be explained. Special attention on Cold Formed, Hardened and Tempered Springs will be taken. After that, the Certificate of Testing will be showed and analysed. Finally, Hot formed, Quenched and Tempered springs will be introduced.
