Description
Flat product hot rolling mills are fed from flat slabs or thin slabs, previously heated and homogenised in reheating furnaces in order to achieve suitable temperatures for the subsequent transformation process.
There are different combinations of rolling mills for flat product, depending on the type of product that we want to obtain. In this module the different shapes obtained from flat product rolling will be introduced. In particular, the production process of plates and strips will be described.
Finally, the different products obtained from flat products will be showed.
