Description
We have defined the Nominal vehicle and Resized vehicle using the only data available at this very early design stage. Design Advisor now has enough information to analyse and make estimates for Mass, Cost and GHG. Now it’s time to take a look at the results.
What you will learn
- Review and interpret Design Advisor’s outputs, which will tell us how our Resized vehicle compares to the Nominal vehicle, and if we have made improvements (Summary of Results);
- Examine how the Original and Competitor parts compare in terms of Cost, a critical factor in automotive design (Part Cost);
- Analyse the Resized vehicle and how its cost has changed as the subsystems were resized due to the changed mass of the substituted components (Subsystem Cost Change).
