Description

For a stable and efficient operation of a BF, smooth and uniform movement of burden materials downward and movement of furnace gases in the upward direction are very important. They are one of the reasons why it is important to know the different instrumentation controls, the charging operations and casting operations to ensure the correct functionality of the BF. In this module The different levels of instrumentation to control the BF are explained in detail as well as location and functions. Then, the charging operations of BF are described. Finally, the casting operations are introduced: the blowing-in, the blowing-out and the irregularities during operations.

What you will learn

- Detail the different levels of instrumentation and control of the Blast Furnace;
- Describe two different charging operations;
